Haverfordwest County AFC can confirm that the home leg of our UEFA Europa Conference League First Qualifying Round tie will be played at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The 33,000-seater arena, which is located in the Leckwith area of the Welsh capital, is the home of Cardiff City and the Wales men’s and women’s national teams.
Having been opened in 2009, the venue has since hosted numerous high-profile matches at both club and international level, including Wales’ victory over Ukraine in June 2022 which saw them qualify for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 64 years.
It has also been used by fellow JD Cymru Premier clubs for their European qualifiers in recent seasons, with The New Saints beating Viktoria Plzen 4-2 in August 2021 after Connah’s Quay Nomads had lost 2-0 to Sarajevo a year prior. The other occasion saw the Saints lose 2-0 to Midtjylland in August 2018.
The home leg will take place on either July 13 or July 20, with the draw for the First Qualifying Round taking place two weeks today on June 20.
Information on tickets will be communicated in due course, and we will also be offering a range of hospitality packages for the game. To register your interest in hospitality, you can either contact g.nicholas@hcafc1899.football, or follow this link to complete a short form. Further details will be confirmed soon.
