Haverfordwest County AFC are pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper, Ifan Knott.
The 18-year-old joins the Bluebirds from Carmarthen Town, where he made 24 senior appearances in all competitions.
Knott, who joins County on a one-year deal, played 11 times in the JD Cymru South last season, and will now have the opportunity to experience top-flight football as he continues his development.
The youngster will link up with the club for pre-season, as we gear up for our first European qualifiying campaign in 19 years.
Having also featured in both the JD Welsh Cup and the Nathaniel MG Cup for the Old Gold, Knott has already gained a lot of experience in the early stages of his career, and follows Rio Dyer and Kai Whitmore in linking up with the Town for 2023-24.
Commenting on the arrival of Knott, manager Tony Pennock said: “Ifan will provide good competition for Zac [Jones]. He’s a very talented youngster, and to play in the Cymru South at his age shows his undoubted quality.
“We look forward to working with him and seeing how he progresses over the coming season.”
We are delighted to have Ifan on board, and look forward to welcoming him to the Ogi Bridge Meadow for next season!
