Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to confirm the signing of Rio Dyer, who joins the club from Briton Ferry Llansawel.
The winger, who has been involved in the academy setups at Swansea City and Hull City, will link up with the Bluebirds on a one-year deal.
Dyer, 19, made 12 appearances in the JD Cymru South last season, providing four assists as the Neath Port Talbot side secured a third place finish.
The youngster has also represented Wales at age grade level, having made his debut for the under-18s against England in Cardiff back in 2021.
Dyer will link up with the Town ahead of our European campaign this summer, and will bolster our attacking options as we gear up for our first foray into Europe since 2004.
Commenting on the signing, manager Tony Pennock said: “I’ve known Rio for quite some time. I worked with him at Hull City when he was an apprentice. He was unfortunate to be released at the time.
“He certainly fits into the profile of player we are looking to recruit. He’s young, ambitious, and is somebody who has real potential to move forward.
“He picked up some good experience in the Cymru South last season, and we are looking forward to working with him in the season ahead.”
We are delighted to have Rio on board, and look forward to welcoming him to the Ogi Bridge Meadow for next season!
