Haverfordwest County AFC can confirm that Lee Idzi, Corey Shephard and Elliott Dugan will depart the club following the conclusion of the 2022-23 season.

Goalkeeper Idzi and striker Dugan have been released following the expiration of their contracts, while midfielder Shephard rejected a contract offer and will leave for pastures new.

Idzi, 35, rejoined the Bluebirds for a third spell at the start of September, while Dugan linked up with the Town later in the month.

Experienced stopper Idzi played a total of 11 games this season, and was able to celebrate another European qualification following Saturday’s victory over Newtown.

The departure of Shephard brings an end to his second stint with the club, which he ended in perfect fashion by scoring the penalty which clinched our qualification for Europe for the first time since 2004.

Dugan’s two stand-out moments will undoubtedly be the long range effort he scored in the 2-1 victory over Connah’s Quay Nomads in January, along with the match-winning penalty in the 4-3 shoot-out victory over Cardiff Metropolitan in the play-off semi-final.

We would like to wish all three players the very best for the future, and thank them for their respective contributions to the club during their time spent at the Ogi Bridge Meadow.

Talks are currently ongoing with other out-of-contract players, and a full retained list will be published in due course.
