Haverfordwest County AFC can confirm that Josh Le-Grice has departed the club to pursue a university education.

The 18-year-old is a product of the academy system at the club, and was a regular part of the first team setup over the course of the last two seasons.

In May 2021, he became the youngest goalkeeper to feature in the JD Cymru Premier at the age of 17 years and 128 days when he was a handed a start in our final game of the 2020-21 season against Cefn Druids. He would mark the occasion by keeping a clean sheet, as the Bluebirds ran out 2-0 winners at the Ogi Bridge Meadow.

A regular starter for the club’s development team, the youngster showed real commitment to the club during his time here, and was always willing to travel with the first team when required.

His dedication, hard work and talent was rewarded in May this year when he signed a one-year deal, however he has since decided to begin his university journey, which he will begin shortly at Liverpool John Moores University.

We would like to thank Josh for his contribution to both the academy and the first team during his time with the club, and we wish him all the very best for the future.
