Haverfordwest County AFC are pleased to confirm that Ricky Watts has signed a one-year contract extension to continue his stay with the club.

The midfielder, who is a product of the club’s academy, has been an integral part of the team for over a decade.

Watts, who is by some distance the club’s longest serving player in the current squad, has made 84 appearances in the last three seasons alone, highlighting his consistency and dependability.

His position in the team was rewarded with the role of club captain for last season, where he featured 30 times for County in all competitions.

The 30-year-old’s finish against Pen-y-Bont in January was named the JD Cymru Premier Goal of the Month by Sgorio, as he was on hand to prod home at the far post to round off an excellent team move.

This fresh contract will take Watts into his 12th season with Haverfordwest County, as we look to build on last season’s performance in the JD Cymru Premier.

If you are interested in sponsoring Ricky for the 2022-23 season, please get in touch with r.edwards@hcafc1899.football for more information.
