Haverfordwest County AFC are pleased to confirm that Lucas Davies and Dan James have put pen to paper on their first one-year professional contracts.
Both players have come through the academy setup at the club, and featured in the first team squad at various points throughout the 2021-22 season.
Davies made his first senior matchday squad in the 2-1 win over Cefn Druids at the Ogi Bridge Meadow in October, and was handed his first minutes in the JD Cymru Premier when he came off the bench in the away game against Flint Town United in December.
James, who was named the Development Player of the Year for the 2020-21 season, was involved in the first team in the early stages of the season just gone – appearing in the squad for the games against Cardiff Metropolitan, The New Saints and Barry Town United.
The 17-year-old then returned to his local club, Goodwick United, and he went on to score eight goals and provide 10 assists in this 22 appearances in the Pembrokeshire Football League Division One, before rejoining County in January.
Alongside this, James was a regular for the Haverfordwest County Development team, making 15 appearances and finding the net on eight occasions in the Cymru Premier Development League South.
