After consecutive away victories in the last fortnight, Haverfordwest County return to the Ogi Bridge Meadow tomorrow to host Cefn Druids in the JD Cymru Premier Play-Off Conference.
The wins over the Ancients and Barry Town United helped the Bluebirds to move out of the relegation zone and up to ninth place, and manager Nicky Hayen will be hoping to make it three wins on the bounce when he takes to the home dugout for the first time on Saturday afternoon.
The two teams last met just two weeks ago, with County running out 2-0 winners at The Rock thanks to goals from Alhagi Touray Sisay and Jack Wilson.
In their last outing, the Druids were unfortunate not to record their first victory of the league season, as Aberystwyth Town scored twice late on to salvage a point from a 3-3 draw, after Andy Turner’s side had come from 1-0 down to lead 3-1.
The first meeting between the teams this season saw the Bluebirds come from behind to secure a dramatic 2-1 win at the Ogi Bridge Meadow in October, with Jack Wilson scoring twice late on to give his team all three points.
While the Druids are rooted to the bottom of table, with just three points from their 23 outings to date, County now look to be in a much healthier position, and could finish the weekend as high as seventh with a victory.
Key man: Niall Flint – The midfielder has been a regular for the Druids this season, featuring in the majority of their league matches and proving to be a reliable figure in a fluctuating campaign. The 24-year-old, who joined the Ancients from Newtown in the summer of 2020, was on the scoresheet in last week’s 3-3 draw with Aberystwyth Town.
Tickets for the game will be available to purchase on the gate, however to save time you can also buy them from our online club shop (Adults £7.50 / Concessions £5.00 / Under-16s free).
