The Bluebirds welcome Cefn Druids to the Bridge Meadow for the final game of the Cymru Premier season on Saturday (15th) for a mid-day kick off.

The Last Time Out

The Bluebirds faced Newtown at home last weekend where goals from Tyrone Ofori and Shane Sutton, either side of a Ben Fawcett equalizer, secured victory for the away side.

The Druids also faced defeat, at the hands of Cardiff Met, where goals from Ollie Hulbert, Elliot Evans (x2), Lewis Rees, Tom Price and Craig Davies secured a 6-0 win for the students.

The Reverse Fixtures

The Bluebirds faced the Druids in consecutive games before Christmas. An Elliot Scotcher late equalizer was enough to make sure the points were shared at the Bridge Meadow after Joe Faux opened the scoring. A week later, the Bluebirds travelled to Druids and suffered a 4-1 defeat. Ruberto, Azimale and Edge gave the home side a commanding lead before Jack Wilson reduced the deficit. However, it was Druids who scored again as Niall Flint secured the win.

The Bluebirds travelled to the Rock for the first game of Phase 2, where a last minute goal from Charley Edge secured all three points for the Druids in what was a dominant display from County.

The Table

The Bluebirds sit third in the Play-Off Conference, and after last weekend’s results, are guaranteed to finish 10th or above in what has been a successful table. Druids remain rooted to the bottom of the table, and will remain there whatever the outcome of the final match of the season.
