The Bluebirds travel to Aberystwyth on Tuesday (4th) for a 7.45pm under the floodlights.
Last Time Out
The Bluebirds travelled to Flint at the weekend, where a two goals either side of half time condemned County to defeat. Jack Wilson had the first clear cut chance of the game as a defensive mix up presented the opportunity, but Wilson’s effort rattled the post. Josh Amis headed home a cross just before half time to give the home side the lead and Alex Jones headed in a free-kick to give the home side all 3 points
Aberystwyth also suffered defeat at the weekend. Goals from Elliot Evans, Emlyn Lewis and two from Ollie Hulbert gave Met a 4 goal lead against Aber, before a Will Fuller own goal provided a consolation goal for Aber. However, a late Warman goal meant that Aber suffered a 5-1 defeat.
The Reverse Fixtures
Back in December, Aberystwyth travelled to the Bridge Meadow for a game with plenty of drama. Jack Wilson gave the Bluebirds and early lead before a Danny Williams header made it 2-0 just before half time. There were no goals in the second half, but the game was suspended due to floodlight failure for 30 minutes. After some hard work by the electrician, the game was able to finish with the Bluebirds taking all 3 points.
Back in March the Bluebirds travelled to Park Avenue, where there was once again drama. In a game in which new signing Jazz Richards made his debut, Aber dominated the first half without making a breakthrough. However, it took only 10 minutes into the second half for Jamie Reed to fire the home side in front. County improved after this goal, and Ben Fawcett stuck in the equaliser in the 82nd minute. It was then Louis Bradford who popped up in the 92nd minute to nod home from a corner to deny the Bluebirds a point.
Aber travelled to the Bridge Meadow just a few weeks ago where a Ben Fawcett goal in the second half secured 3 points for the Bluebirds.

After the weekend’s results, the Bluebirds remain second in the Play-Off Conference, 6 points behind of Newtown. Aberystwyth are in 4th place, 5 points behind the Bluebirds.
