The club are delighted to announce that Wyndham Williams is our newly appointed Community Development Manager, with over sixteen years of experience in Sports Development and more recently, Community Club Development.
Wyndham is passionate about building a strong community around our club with his vast level of experience, knowledge and reputation he will be a valuable asset to our Cymru Premier Football Club.
He joins us, after his most recent role at Pembrokeshire Association of Volunteer Service as a Community Connector Officer where he was successful in developing new community initiatives and strategies through the current pandemic as part of the 18 million pound Welsh Government ‘Healthier West Wales Transformation Programme. However, for the most part of his career he has worked in Sports Development for Sport Wales within Sport Pembrokeshire at Pembrokeshire County Council.
In that time, he has been successful in his abilities to engage, inspire and support communities in lifelong participation in sport and exercise. He wholeheartedly believes in the philosophy and vision of building communities and supporting communities to improve health and well-being by harnessing the potential opportunities within the local area.
In 2018, Wyndham came to the club on a sabbatical to take up a temporary position as a Community Development Officer for Vi-Ability Social Enterprise. During that time Wyndham made an instant impact at the club and set up a new social enterprise that addressed the needs of the local area and brought about social change by facilitating the ‘More Than a Club’ football engagement program to help people who suffer from isolation & loneliness, unemployment, education, mental health, health conditions, and dementia. The initiatives that he created used the power of football to address the social needs of disadvantaged people in the local community and made our club a thriving part of the community.
