Today the FAW announced that the Cymru Premier League will return on Friday, 11th of September after the Welsh Government granted the top tier elite athletic status. Initially, matches will take place behind closed doors, as the Welsh Government continues it’s cautious approach towards the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The FAW has welcomed today’s (21 August) announcement by the Welsh Government that three upcoming sporting events will be trialled with a maximum of 100 spectators. A further announcement regarding spectators attending sporting events will be made after the next Welsh Government 3-week review period has been completed.
