Haverfordwest County AFC travel to Oswestry on Saturday to take on The New Saints in front of the live Sgorio cameras, looking to keep up their good recent run of form.
The Bluebirds were most recently in action on February 21, when we defeated Cardiff Metropolitan 1-0 at the Ogi Bridge Meadow. Ben Fawcett’s second-half goal was enough to secure the three points for Tony Pennock’s men in front of an impressive crowd of over 1,100.
The Saints have been on a strong run themselves of late, having won their last 12 matches in all competitions. Their most recent outing came last Friday, when they defeated Aberystwyth Town 1-0 at Latham Park to win the Nathaniel MG Cup. Aramide Oteh’s goal early in the second half was decisive as Craig Harrison’s men edged out the Seasiders.
The most recent encounter between the sides came back in November. On that occasion, TNS ran out 2-1 winners. Ben Fawcett gave the Bluebirds the lead, but Josh Pask and Ash Baker found the net to turn the game around and secure the win.
County currently find themselves third in the standings, three points behind second place Penybont and seven
